Positive feedback at the industry gathering for European asparagus and berry growers
Satisfied exhibitors and a positive feedback from attendees that's the news from this year’s dual exhibition. The 22nd expoSE – Europe’s leading exhibition for asparagus and berry production – and the 7th expoDirekt – Germany's largest specialist trade fair for direct agricultural marketing – set new records for the number of exhibitors. 454 exhibitors from 14 countries presented innovations in asparagus and berry production as well as agricultural direct marketing to roughly 7,000 international professional attendees (numbers stable in comparison to the previous year) from 22nd to 23rd November 2017 at the Messe Karlsruhe.
“The atmosphere was very good among both exhibitors and attendees on both days of the trade fairs. Our dual exhibition is more than just a platform for information and investment: This is where the industry meets to discuss and develop new approaches and products,” explains Simon Schumacher, Board Spokesman for the Association of asparagus- and strawberrygrowers Southern Germany, Verband Süddeutscher Spargel- und Erdbeeranbauer e. V. (VSSE), and organiser of the dual exhibition.
Topics at the two exhibitions included the new fertiliser ordinance and its implementation, innovations for optimising cultivation and lowering costs, digital systems for the entire production chain, and creative ideas for direct agricultural marketing.
