The direct marketing forum from HOFdirekt and VSSE is breaking new ground this year. It will take place on both days of the fair and in the middle of the fair action, namely at the HOFdirekt stand in Hall 1, Stand G02. The first day of the fair, Wednesday 20 November, is all about "smart shopping". In a relaxed atmosphere, practitioners at the HOFdirekt stand in Hall 1-G02 will report on their experiences with various software and self-service checkout solutions. In the subsequent industry discussion, the respective providers will explain their concepts and, of course, there will be time to take up suggestions and questions from visitors. On Thursday, the focus will be on branding. An expert and a practitioner will present their concepts.

Smart shopping
Customers want to be flexible and would prefer to shop around the clock. But long opening hours also have to be worthwhile, and this requires a lot of staff. A challenge in times of a shortage of skilled workers. Cleverly designed self-service solutions can resolve this contradiction and enable increased sales through independent store opening times. Our examples show how smart and digital farm shops can be set up:
•10.30 a.m.: Marleen Burkhard has set up her farm shop at Oberholz in a smart and digital way together with ackerPay. The scales are linked to the cash register so that customers can even buy a single carrot.
• 11.30 a.m.: Future-proof thanks to a hybrid farm shop. Traditional service is provided three days a week, then Sophie Braumiller from Biburg in Bavaria transforms her farm butcher's shop into a Smartstore24.
• 13.30:XNUMX p.m.: Sascha Mathis from Kraut und Rüben GbR from Ewighausen in Rhineland-Palatinate operates two digital self-service sales huts. The farmer appreciates the easy operation and digital access control of the LOKBEST system.
• 14.30 p.m.: By switching to self-service, Christa Rinderknecht from Jettingen in Baden-Württemberg was able to gain significantly more customers. Payment is quick and easy at the PerfectMoney/DCSI checkout.
• 15.30 p.m.: Smart ordering and collection. getpacked and CLICK & COLLECT show how orders can be processed better and how the combination of software and collection box works.

The farm as a brand
Being a local brand creates an emotional bond between the business and its customers. Leverage this potential.
• 13:XNUMX p.m.: Why should direct marketers build their business into a brand? How can direct marketing become a brand? What opportunities are there in branding? Nicole Hofmeister from the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Agriculture answers these questions.
• 14 p.m.: One person who has already successfully built up his brand is Peter Telgmann from Eis Berger. The brand stands for the complete ice cream package: the best products and the associated marketing equipment.
