  • Exhibitor data: Company name, address, contact person, email, telephone number, product information

  • Visitor data: Registration data, if applicable, payment data when purchasing tickets

  • Communication data: Email, telephone, correspondence

  • Photos and video recordings: during the events

  • Usage data: IP address, browser data, access times (server log files)

3. Purposes of processing

  • Implementation and organization of expoSE / expoDirekt

  • Publication of exhibitor data in the exhibitor directory (print/online) and forwarding to media partners (based on consent)

  • Processing inquiries and communicating with visitors

  • Creation and publication of photo and video recordings for public relations purposes (print, website, social media)

  • Operation, security and optimization of the website (including analysis tools)

  • Fulfillment of legal obligations (e.g. retention obligations under tax and commercial law)

4. Legal bases

  • Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent) – publication of exhibitor data, photo/video recordings

  • Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract / pre-contractual measures) – Registration as an exhibitor or visitor

  • Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (legal obligation) – tax / commercial law obligations

  • Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest) – IT security, web analysis, direct marketing to existing customers

5. Disclosure of data

  • To media and event partners (only with consent or to fulfill the contract)

  • To IT service providers, hosting and printing service providers (order processing according to Art. 28 GDPR)

  • When using Google Analytics: Transfer to third countries (USA), secured by standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission

Our website uses cookies.

  • Technically necessary cookies: required for the operation of the website (no consent required).

  • Analysis/statistics cookies (Google Analytics): Only with consent via cookie banner. Google Analytics uses IP anonymization. Data may be transferred to the USA.

7. Photo and video recordings

During the trade fair, photos and videos will be taken and used for public relations purposes.

  • Publication will take place in print media, on our website and in social media channels.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).

  • You can revoke your consent at any time; after this revocation, recordings will no longer be used in the future.

8. Storage period

  • Exhibitor data: up to 5 years after last trade fair participation or until revoked

  • Visitor data: in accordance with statutory retention periods (usually 6–10 years)

  • Log files / server data: max. 6 months

  • Photos/videos: until consent is revoked or as long as there is a legitimate interest

You have the right to:

  • Access (Article 15 GDPR)

  • Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)

  • Erasure (Article 17 GDPR)

  • Restriction (Article 18 GDPR)

  • Contradiction (Article 21 GDPR)

  • Instructions for cancellation consents given (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

In addition, there is the right to complaint to a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR).
